How would you like to join Team Boston Cyclists Union and sustainability and bike advocates from across the country on a five-day fully supported bike ride through Amish country, horse country, and the Delaware River Valley? The Union is now a beneficiary of Climate Ride, which w
ill travel from New York City to Washington, DC May 19-23, 2012.
On Thursday, Feb. 16 you can come meet past present and future Climate Riders and take part in some free appetizers at Red Sky in downtown Boston.

It's an amazing journey and "green conference on wheels" where people who care about sustainability, renewable energy and bike advocacy pedal this iconic East Coast route together to make a difference. If you select us as your beneficiary when you register, the Union will be the recipient of the funds you raise, which means you will be directly advancing better bicycling in Boston with your participation in Climate Ride.
I'd like to encourage you to find out more about Climate Ride by visiting www.climateride.org. You can register for $75 (which includes a great jersey, road support, and more), and then you raise at least $2400 to participate in this all-inclusive 5-day bicycle tour. The ride is fully-supported by a team of talented leader-hosts, bike mechanics, medics, and massage therapists. Climate Ride is also one of the 'greenest' multi-day charity ride events in the world.
In appreciation of your participation as a member of Team Boston Cyclists Union, we will provide a free "strength in numbers" Union T-shirt for you and the top three donors supporting you for the 2012 NYC-DC Climate Ride!
Keep your eyes on the Union's calendar for Boston-based rides to prepare for the 300-mile journey from NYC to DC, three of our board members are riding and will likely organize a few training rides. You can also organize your own and we'll publicize it for you. The rides are a fun way to get in shape for Climate Ride and bond with your fellow teammates.
If you're interested in registering for the New York City to Washington, DC ride this May or have questions about Climate Ride, please contact Union board member Alex Sugerman-Brozan at asugermanb@gmail.com.
