On Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 12:30-4:15 p.m., Bike Newton is sponsoring a city-wide NewtonSERVES community service project with the goal of improving off-road bike paths in Newton.  In order to ensure the enjoyment and safety of walkers and bikers, basic clearing of debris will be accompanied by pruning and thinning of trailside growth, as well as improvement of trail surface conditions through smoothing, redistribution of crushed rock, and marking of hazards.
