Jokes about harming cyclists are not funny, nor is police support for it

I'd like to share with you all a story about the kind of harassment people riding bikes have to deal with in this supposedly "bicycle friendly" city, where our mayor repeatedly declares in speeches that "the car is no longer king":I'm biking down Orchard Street here in JP on my way home from work this evening.  I wait for a driver also turning onto Orchard to go first, since it's a narrow street, and they'd be stuck behind me for a while. We come upon an NStar construction crew and a Boston…See More

NO! Are you hurt? NO! Good day!"Shane is pretty upset, and rightfully asks:Dear MBTA, when are you…See More

Sundae Roll this weekend

This Sunday, 8pm, at the Monument (the intersection of Centre and South streets), meet your fellow bikin' and cyclin' neighbors for a weekly evening cruise around JP, taking advantage of the cool temps and quiet streets! Bring your mountain, commuter, cargo, tandem, tall, short, chopper, mixte, fixie, road, or cross bike. We don't care, as long as it's in good repair and you've got a front and rear light; slap a bell on for extra credit and fun. You can find lights and bells at Bikes Not Bombs…See More

Bike cargo trailer needed

Hiya neighbors, I'm moving over the next week and want to do as much as possible via bike.  So, I'm looking to borrow a bike trailer!  If you have such a beast and you're willing, please drop me a note and let me know: -what sort of trailer it is (a link or googleable name would be great so I can get an idea of what I could move with it and how)-when it would be available (and when you would be available for logistical stuff, ie pickup/dropoff)-if there's something I can do for you in…See More
